Las Vegas Shopping Guide

Elaine in Las Vegas

One of my favourite places in the world is, you’ve guess it – Las Vegas. I’ve been twice now,  the last time being in October this year. I know it’s not everyones top destination but for me it has everything I want – lazy days by the pool, good food, amazing shows, concerts and good shopping!

Living in Malta, it’s a bit of a trek to get there. This time it took is 28 hours door to door to get there, but it was worth every minute. We flew from Malta to Gatwick and had a lay over of 7 hours (ouch!) and then an 10 hour flight to get there. I didn’t want to go for a few days with all the traveling that was involved so we stayed for 2 weeks. Which if you go to Vegas to party, it is. But even as a non-drinker I still throughly enjoyed my time there. So if you’re thinking about Vegas, here’s a little guide to shopping while you’re out there

Premium Outlets – North & South

If you head to Vegas with the intention of doing some shopping I would suggest hitting up the Premium outlets first. Now there is two locations, North and South. In my opinion the North one is better, it has more shops and a wider array of bargains to be had. The prices can be really good here, especially if you’re from the UK/Europe. To give you idea I picked up DKNY jeans for $35(£23) and Jimmy Choos for $200(£130), there’s no way even in the sales I would of got those items in the UK.

Fashion Show Mall

Fashion Show Mall is located towards the north end of the strip across from the Wynn hotel. It’s a pretty decent size and has a lot of high street brands such as – Forever 21  and TopShop etc. There is also department stores such as Saks 5th Avenue. So if you’re looking for something, you’ll more than likely find it here. Out of the 3 this is my least favourite place, as out of all the shops there’s only 3 or 4 places I go.

The Forum Shops at Ceasers Palace

This is my favourite shopping place in Vegas, I always seem to spend a lot of time here. It’s located mid-strip at Ceasers palace, so it’s easy to get to and if you fancy a break you can stop and play some slots or for some lunch. There’s such a big mix of shops here everything from Louis Vuitton to H&M and not to forget – Victoria Secret! You won’t get as many bargains here as at the Premium outlets, but it’s designed to look like you’re outside (while you’re actually inside, in a lovely climate controlled mall). Out of all the places, this one has the most shops I like under one roof.

So there you have it. My Las vegas shopping guide. Both times I’ve been to Vegas I’ve done some serious shopping, it’s not often thought of as a shopping holiday destination but for me it has been. Twice i’ve returned with 100kg of luggage!

Have you been to Vegas? Where’s your favourite place to shop?
