There is a lot a debate recently in the blogging community about how you should run your blog. You’ll often find advice article, even I post one a week – check them out here. I am the first person that will read those types of posts, I love learning new things and ways to improve my blog. But what if you don’t?..
That’s ok….if you want to post once a week, once a week, once a year. You know what…that’s fine. You don’t schedule posts or social media – hey, that’s also fine. Don’t let the pressure from others effect how you run your blog.
Essentially your blog, is you’re little piece of the internet. Maybe you don’t want your own domain, or don’t have the time to post everyday. Blogging should be fun and not a chore, and when you start to feel like you have to do something, then it stops being fun.
But on the other hand, there is lots of us out there who work hard, schedule posts and social media and spend a lot of our time on our blogs….and you know what we’re just average too.
If I knew the formula to having a successful blog, I wouldn’t have a full-time job to pay the bills so I can buy all these things to blog about. But you know what, it’s OK.
Hi, I’m Elaine and I’m an average blogger *waves*
Whether you’re working your ass off (or not) and feel you’re just average – don’t beat yourself up about it. I know some bloggers who have been blogging for years, I’m talking like 9 years and are just average, but they do it for the love of blogging.
Whether you have 1 follower or 1,000…..or 10,000 – you know what those people took the time to read your blog and follow you because they like what you’re doing, so you much be doing something right…and you don’t follow someone you don’t like. They are following you because they LOVE what you’re doing and want to see more it…
…maybe you’re not as average as you thought after all? So keep on blogging for the love of it, someone out there appreciates your work.
