How to get a ‘related articles’ widget

related posts

You may have seen on other blogs (and on mine) that at the bottom of each post there are related posts or suggested other posts for you to read….this is a great tool to keep reader on your blog longer and it will also give them content they are interested in.

The widget looks like this:

Getting one for your own blog is pretty simple:

WordPress

I use a widget called ‘Related posts’ by Zemanta, and it’s free to install.

Go to Plugins > add new and search ‘related posts’, it should be the first result you have. Just click ‘install now’ and that’s you done. It will automatically add the bottom each blog posts.

It chooses what to show depending on the categories of each of your posts. So if someone is reading a fashion post, it will suggest other related fashion posts.

Blogger

When I used blogger, I used a tool called Linkwithin, simply go to their website, fill in your details (no sign up needed) and follow the on screen instructions and you’ll have a related posts widget within minutes.

I hope you found this post helpful, if you have any questions just let me know.
