Last week I talked about Beauty Blogging on a budget and today I’m going to share with you my tips for Fashion Blogging on a budget. It’s no secret that it can get expensive to blog, especially when starting out.

Use the clothes you already have

You don’t need to have the latest fashions to put an outfit together. If you’re interested in fashion, it’s safe to say you’ve probably already got a lot of clothes already. Blog about what you have already, this will save you money when you’re starting out.

Borrow pieces from friends

If your friends of family have a nice bag or top, ask them kindly if you can borrow it and take some outfit pictures. No one needs to know that it is borrowed.

Check out charity shops

Some people find their biggest bargains in charity shops even the biggest of bloggers, so don’t dismiss them. Go in and have a look, you’ll also be helping out a great cause at the same time.

Shop in sales

I did a post about buying designer pieces out of season, but this applies to all clothes really. The best way to save money is shopping out of season for the biggest discounts. So check out places in summer for jumpers and coats, and in winter look for summer dresses.

Recycle pieces

You might have some old jeans that you were thinking of throwing out – why not do some DIY and make them into shorts. Or how about buying some sequins and customising trainers or a t-shirt?

Sign up the newsletters

Sign up to as many newsletters for online stores as you can. They will often give you a discount on your first order when signing up. Also you’ll get emails about their sales and special offers that you can take advantage of.
