6 Month blogging goals catch up

blogging goals

Back in December last year I set myself some blogging goals for 2016 and since we’re half way through the year I though I would be nice to look back to see if i’ve managed to stick to them or not.

My goals were:

  • Post a new article every day, and plan posts in advance

Surprisingly I’ve managed to stick to this and I’m not sure how I’ve managed to do it, but in 2016 I managed to do a post every single day. I also managed to plan posts in advance. Currently I’m writing about one week in advance, but i’d like to increase this by the end of the year.

  • Keep track of Stats

This is another one i’ve kept up, although something happened early Jan/Feb and I lost about a month on stats. But at the moment I note my stats every Sunday. It’s been nice to see by blog grow as the weeks and months go past.

  • Improve my photography skills

This one…well I haven’t been so great with this. While I can say I’ve defiantly improved, I’m still not at a level I would like. But any improvement is still and improvement right?

  • Start generating some kind of income(even if it is just to cover the costs)

Since my blog is only 6 months old it’s been hard to generate an income so far, I’ve made a small amount but not as much as I would have liked. But I’ve still got 6 months to work on this, so let’s keep my fingers crossed.

  • Grow my social media/bloglovin following to over 2,000 followers on each channel

While I haven’t reached these targets just yet, but I have been growing quite well. I’m confident that i’ll reach these before the end of the year – if I keep up the hard work.

  • Interact more with other bloggers

I have been trying hard with this one, but sometimes there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. I’ve been so busy the last couple of weeks with traveling and having guests over I’ve neglected this a little, but I want to get back into it and talk to you all more often!

So there you have it, I think i’m on the right track, but there is room for lots of room for improvement so lets hope I can keep it up, work harder and reach all my goals this year!
