It’s no secret that I’m a lover of french skin care and Yves Rocher is no exception, so you can imagine my delight when they opened their doors in Malta. Not just one shop but 3!! (Sliema, Valletta and Paola).
I had the pleasure of visiting their Paola store which was a first for me (The Sliema store is my local), and to my delight they also have their own in-store botanical Spa…but I’ll save those details to another post.
If you’ve never stepped foot in an Yves Rocher shop yet…firstly -why not? But let me show you what you’ve been missing out on
The shop is just filled with every kind of beauty product you could possibly need. From hair care, skin care to even fragrance and everything else in between. One of the major misconceptions about Yves Rocher when you pass the store is that it’s expensive. I’ve been in and spent my hard earned cash and let me tell you it isn’t. Items start from just €1. But don’t let the price full you -Yves Rocher know their stuff.
Yves Rocher was founded in 1959 in Brittany, France, by you guessed it – Yves Rocher himself. Mr Rocher was a chemist and botanist and aimed and achieved at supplying women with affordable skin care and cosmetics. Originally Yves Rocher started out as mail order products and he eventually opened his first store in 1962 and now today there is over 2,500 in 88 countries and is the number 1 skin care brand in France.
There is many things I love about the Yves Rocher brand – the packing being one of them. But I love that their products are botanical and a large amount of them organic. Not to mention that they are cruelty free which is a strong point that the company believe in, Yves Rocher was once quoted saying “If you have to test your ‘products’ on animals, you don’t know what you’re doing.”.
If you’ve yet to set foot in Yves Rocher – I highly recommend you go in. They have something for everyone and you won’t be disappointed. For more information visit Yves Roche on Facebook
