For Christmas I was lucky enough to get one of the items on my wish list – the Christian Louboutin Lipstick in Rouge Louboutin 001.
The packaging for this lipstick is an art form in itself. It comes beautifully presented in a glossy black box with a red inside. The lipstick is in black glossy holder with gold accents, and the lid has a string attached, I’m guessing if you want to wear it as a necklace.
Rouge Louboutin 001 shade, is a deep red, quite a little bit darker than the classic Louboutin red. The formula is rich and creamy with a satin finish. Application is easy, and the lipstick just glides on the lips. I really love the creamy formula and it feels nice on the lips.
When I wore this, it lasted about 4 hours before I noticed the inner parts needing a touch up.
However, It’s quite a pricey lipstick at £60, but this will fit nicely into your collection if your a Louboutin lover. In my opinion there is plenty of other lipsticks, even high end (as well a drug store) ones at £25 that will do the job just as well, and you’ll be able to get 2 or 3 for the price of one lipstick. While I did want this and I’m happy that I have it, I don’t think I could of parted with £60 of my own hard earned cash on one lipstick. Overall it’s a nice lipstick, the packaging is lovely, and it’s a luxury product, but would I buy it again – probably not. But i’ll be saving this for special occasions.
The lipstick comes in a variety of shades, including the classic Louboutin Red. Louboutin Lipsticks are available from Selfridges – £60
